Description

Barbisio’s most iconic style, the Ray is inspired by the distinctive shape of the Trilby. One of the lightest hats in the collection, it is soft yet structured. Its narrow-brimmed shape lends it great personality and wearability. 

Shaped by hand by our master hatters using the original moulds that have made the history of the brand, it is made from a single piece of premium beaver felt or Brisa weave Ecuadorian straw, without decorations. The narrow raw-cut brim makes this style immediately recognisable.

All our hats are handcrafted in Biella: please allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

This hat is made from a raw felt made from extra-fine 16 micron wool and precious cashmere. A warm and noble fibre makes this material stand out for lightness and performance.

Structured, light hat and with an unmistakable character, the Ray expresses the full potential of Barbisio’s reinterpretation of headwear icons through its signature moulding technique, where unlined constructions elevate the architectural essence of the hat.

  



CARE

Looking after your Barbisio felt hat can increase its longevity. Brush it regularly with a soft-bristled brush in a counter-clockwise direction. To clean it, use steam from your iron, making sure it doesn’t touch the hat, or treat it with a warm, damp cotton cloth. Wipe the leather sweatband, if it has one, with a sponge and a little Marseille soap. Store in a dry place, using a product to keep moths away. Never put your Barbisio hat in the washing machine, as it will lose its shape and shrink.
