Description

The irreverent, sculptural Marcello hat in brushed beaver felt is inspired by the rituals associated with hat wearing. It features an opening in the top of the crown, splitting the classic pinch down the middle to create a space for the hand to slot into to grab the hat.



Made by hand with premium materials using a special form, designed exclusively and hand sculpted by a master hatter, the hat stands out for its essential, rigid architecture and generous raw-edge brim. The interior is finished with a hand-sewn leather sweatband in a contrasting colour and the unmistakable Barbisio label.

All our hats are handcrafted in Biella: please allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

This hat is made with a raw beaver felt. An exclusive material with an extremely smooth look and feel. A highly-compact, soft fibre makes this the most refined material for hat making.

CARE

Looking after your Barbisio felt hat can increase its longevity. Brush it regularly with a soft-bristled brush in a counter-clockwise direction. To clean it, use steam from your iron, making sure it doesn’t touch the hat, or treat it with a warm, damp cotton cloth. Wipe the leather sweatband, if it has one, with a sponge and a little Marseille soap. Store in a dry place, using a product to keep moths away. Never put your Barbisio hat in the washing machine, as it will lose its shape and shrink.
