Description

Inspired by the classic Gaucho style, born as the worker’s headgear on the Patagonian planes, the Marlene reverberates with echoes of South American legends. Simple and structured, it stands out for its light design.

The model’s traditional decorative leather ribbon is chiselled here directly into the hat mould, becoming integral to this evocative style, made by hand by our master hatters out of premium smooth rabbit felt. It has the characteristic low crown and rigid raw cut brim.
For the FW22-23 season, the Black Lanzarote and Andalucia Red versions are enriched by a chain with a shiny gold finish, which can be worn frontally as a necklace or carried the hat over the shoulder or even thrown it backwards like a cowboy.

All our hats are handcrafted in Biella: please allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

This hat is made with a plant-based straw, woven by hand to a personalised design using tender leaves of the Toquilla palm. With an elevated grade of finesse, its fibres are suited to making light and resistant hats.

CARE

Sourced in Ecuador, the straw used to fashion this Barbisio hat is carefully selected for quality and finesse before being exported. It is processed and woven entirely by hand. Straw is a plant based fibre obtained from palm leaf, and looking after it with a few simple tricks can increase its longevity. Occasionally spray it with a little nebulised water to revive the fibre and prevent breakage. Wipe any stains with a rubber or gently rub with a cloth and soapy water.
