Description

Inspired by the classic Gaucho style, born as the worker’s headgear on the Patagonian planes, the Marlene reverberates with echoes of South American legends. Simple and structured, it stands out for its light design.

The model’s traditional decorative leather ribbon is chiselled here directly into the hat mould, becoming integral to this evocative style, made by hand by our master hatters out of premium wool and cashmere felt blends. It has the characteristic low crown and rigid raw cut brim.
For the SS2024 season, the Black Lanzarote and Red Andalucia versions are enriched by a chain with a shiny gold finish, which can be worn frontally as a necklace or carried the hat over the shoulder or even thrown it backwards like a cowboy.

All our hats are handcrafted in Biella: please allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

This hat is made from a raw felt made from extra-fine 16 micron wool and precious cashmere. A warm and noble fibre makes this material stand out for lightness and performance.

CARE

Looking after your Barbisio felt hat can increase its longevity. Brush it regularly with a soft-bristled brush in a counter-clockwise direction. To clean it, use steam from your iron, making sure it doesn’t touch the hat, or treat it with a warm, damp cotton cloth. Wipe the leather sweatband, if it has one, with a sponge and a little Marseille soap. Store in a dry place, using a product to keep moths away. Never put your Barbisio hat in the washing machine, as it will lose its shape and shrink.
